Important Updates to Your Climb Youngstown Membership
Dear Climbing Community,
We're reaching out to share some updates to our membership policies that will take effect on January 1, 2025. At Climb Youngstown, we believe in transparent communication and want to ensure you have all the information you need about these changes.
Membership Cancellation Process
We've simplified our cancellation process to make it more straightforward for you:
Send your cancellation request to info@climbyoungstown.com
Make sure to submit your request at least 3 days before the next billing cycle (we process memberships on the 1st of each month)
Please note that requests received after this window will not be processed before the next billing cycle
If oyu cancel within 6 months of starting your membership, a cancellation fee will apply. See below.
A few important things to keep in mind about cancellations:
Your current membership rate (including any special discounts or grandfathered rates) will end with your cancellation
If you decide to rejoin later, your new membership will be at current market rates
We cannot provide refunds for memberships not cancelled within the required timeframe
Our Approach to Membership Fees
We're proud to make climbing more accessible by eliminating registration fees. To maintain this approach while supporting our community's growth, we've updated our cancellation fee structure:
For memberships under 6 months: $35 cancellation fee
For memberships over 6 months: No cancellation fee
This structure helps us keep monthly rates competitive while maintaining our high-quality facilities and fostering a committed climbing community.
Putting Your Membership on Hold
Life happens! If you need to take a break, here's how our membership hold policy works:
Send you hold request to info@climbyoungstown.com
Submit your hold request at least 3 days before the next billing cycle
A small $5 monthly hold fee keeps your membership status active
You can hold your membership for up to 6 months
Keeping Your Discounted Rate as a Student
Children under 18, high school students, and full-time undergrad/graduate students are eligible for our discounted student membership. Students 18 and older must provide proof of full-time student status within 30 days of signing up and again every September, to remain at the discounted student rate.
Dues automatically adjust to the individual rate if proof is not turned in before the 30 day period. Proof can be submitted to info@climbyoungstown.com.
Resubmitting Proof Yearly: Monthly recurring student members must submit student proof every September to remain at the student rate. If no proof is submitted, the dues will automatically increase to the individual rate.
Other Important Updates
New members can continue to enjoy free shoe rentals for the first two weeks of their membership. After this time period, rental fees will apply, or you can take advantage of your membership discount to purchase a pair from the gym!
Day passes can be applied toward a membership or punch card if you decide to upgrade on the same day
Youth Program Team Fees are non-refundable
