Safety Rules

• Never walk under someone climbing
• Respect staff instructions at all times
• Keep your belongings off the bouldering mats
• No climbing under the influence of drugs or alcohol
• No running or jumping
• Don’t get on a route that intersects with someone already on the wall
• No gymnastics or wrestling on the mats
• Don’t sit, stand, or lounge on pads when others are climbing
• Do not use climbing holds to do pull-ups or other exercises
• Report any loose holds or damage to staff immediately

General Rules

• Please check in when first entering the gym
• Only climbing shoes on the walls,
• No climbing shoes in the bathrooms
• Shirt must be worn at all times
• Chalk must be always contained in chalk bags — no loose chalk
• Only use rental chalk bags if renting — be mindful of others’ personal chalk bags
• If you are bleeding, please wash and cover your cut with a bandage or tape — first aid is available.

Food and Drink Policies

• No food or drinks on bouldering mats
• Drinks in the carpeted area must have a lid or cap
• Food should only be eaten in uncarpeted areas
• Clean up after yourself after eating

Youth Safety

Waivers

Kids under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian sign an online waiver on their behalf. One waiver per child much be completed.

Ages 6-12

Kids ages 8-12 must be supervised at all times, but do not need to be within arms reach if they are capable of following the rules and guidelines.

Ages 5 and Under

Chaperones must have kids 5 and under within arms reach at all times.

This age is notorious for running under climbers!

Teens

Teens under the age of 18 must have an adult sign their waiver but do not need an adult present to climb as long as they are capable of following the rules and guidelines.

Gym Etiquette & Sharing Space

Sharing Space

  • Take turns on problems/routes

  • Don't monopolize popular areas

  • Communicate with nearby climbers

  • Ask if it's okay to join others working on a problem

  • Be mindful of your rest time between attempts when others are waiting

  • Share beta only when asked

  • Welcome and include new climbers

  • Be considerate of others' personal space and boundaries

Personal Conduct

  • Use appropriate language and volume

  • Keep phone calls outside the climbing area

  • Clean up after yourself

  • Brush off holds after your session

  • Offer encouragement and support to fellow climbers

  • Store personal belongings in designated areas

  • Return borrowed equipment promptly

Staff Interactions

  • Respect staff instructions at all times

  • Climbers who continually violate facility rules may be asked by staff to suspend climbing or leave the facility.

  • Respect staff coach time during climbing programs and classes

  • No interrupting or distracting coaches during sessions (this is not the time to ask for beta)

  • No teaching or coaching unless authorized by facility
